Disconnecting Battery
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the
key from the ignition before leaving the operators seat for any reason.
1. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.
2. Open the battery cover. For instructions, refer to Opening Battery Cover, page 427.

3. Remove the black plastic covers from negative cable
clamps (A). Loosen the clamps and remove the cable from
the batteries.
4. Remove the red plastic covers from positive cable
clamps (B). Loosen the clamps and remove the cable from
the batteries.
Connecting Batteries
Connecting the batteries provides electrical power to the windrower.

1. Move latch (A) towards the right cab-forward side of the
windrower.
2. Grasp louver (B) and lift the hood to open it.
