6. After the lubricant has drained completely, position the
windrower so that ports (A) and (B) on the wheel are
horizontally level with the center of hub (C) as shown.
7. Add lubricant. For instructions, refer to 5.10.5 Adding
Wheel Drive Lubricant – 10 Bolt, page 400.
8. Reinstall all plugs and torque to 24 Nm (18 lbf·ft).
5.6.8 Changing Wheel Drive Lubricant – 12 Bolt (Optional)
The wheel drive lubricant should be changed after the first 50 hours and every 1000 hours or annually, whichever occurs
first. Change the lubricant when it is warm.
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the
key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s seat for any reason.

1. Park the windrower on level ground and position the drive
wheel so fill/drain plug (A) is at the lowest point.
2. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from
the ignition.
3. Place a container (about 5 liters [5.3 quarts]) under the fill/
drain plug (A).
4. Remove fill/drain plug (A) and check plug (B), and drain
lubricant into container.
5. Dispose of oil in a manner that complies with local rules
and regulations.
