Command Reference RIP Commands

Use this command to define the RIP version of a device. Use the no form of this command to restore
the default setting.

The route update packets of RIPv1 and are received by default, but only the RIPv1 route update
packets are sent.

This command defines the RIP version running on the device. It is possible to redefine the messages
of which RIP version are processed on every interface by using the ip rip receive version and ip rip
send version commands.
