Usethisboxtoinsertthetransducer’sserialnumber.SomenewSimradtransducers
withbuilt-in"intelligence"willautomaticallyprovidethisserialnumber.
CustomName
Typeanynamethatyouwishtousetoidentifythetransducer.Thenameyou
selectwillonlybeusedtoidentifythetransducerinotherdialogboxes.Itisnot
usedintheechodatathatyouexport.
Tip
IfyoudonothaveacomputerkeyboardconnectedtoyourES80system,selectthe
Keyboardbuttontoopenanon-screenkeyboard.
Mounting
Usethisfunctiontospecifywherethetransducerisinstalled.
Orientation
Usethisfunctiontospecifytheorientationofthetransducerbeam.
Example
Ifthetransducerhasbeeninstalledwiththetransducerfaceina
horizontalposition,thebeamispointingstraightdown.Youmustthen
selectVerticalorientation.
Offset
ThephysicallocationoftheES80transducerisimportantfortheES80data
accuracy.
Usethecentreofthetransducerfaceasreference,anddenetheoffsetvalues
relatedtotheShipOrigin.Theinstallationanglesrelevantforthetransducermust
alsobedened.Thesevalueswererecordedduringthetransducerinstallation,and
theydenethedirectionofthetransducerface.
Note
Itisveryimportantthatthetransducerinstallationanglesaremeasuredand
recordedaccuratelyduringtheinstallation,andthattheyaredenedaccuratelyin
thesoftware.Incorrectangleswillgreatlyreducethedataaccuracy.
•XOffset[m]:SelecttheoffsetvalueontheXaxis(fore-and-aftdirection)from
theShipOrigin.AdjustwithapositivevalueforXifthetransducerislocated
ahead
oftheshiporigin.
•YOffset[m]:SelecttheoffsetvalueontheYaxis(athwartship)fromtheShip
Origin.AdjustwithapositivevalueforYifthetransducerislocatedonthe
starboard
sideoftheshiporigin.
