selected,theES80willrunusingitsinternalpingintervalparametersandsend
triggersignalstotheperipheralsystem(s).
ThismodeisunavailableifyousetSynchronizationPorttoTransceiver
AuxiliaryPort.

SlavemodeisusediftheES80isgoingtotransmitonlywhenpermittedbya
peripheralsystem.WhenSlavemodeisselected,theES80doesnottransmit
("ping")unlessanexternaltriggerappearsonthechosensynchronizationport.
Theperipheralsystemmaybeanyotherhydroacousticproduct(forexamplean
echosounderorsonar),orevenadedicatedsynchronizationsystem.
Thesynchronizationmodeisnotxed.ItcanbechangedatanytimeduringES80
operation.

Simultaneoustransmissionofmorethanonehydroacousticsystemcanonlytake
placeifthesystemsoperatewithdifferentfrequencies.
SynchronizationDelay
Thisdelayparameterisuseddifferentlydependingonthechosensynchronization
mode.
•Stand-alone
TheSynchronizationDelaysettingisnotapplicablewhensynchronizationis
switchedoff.
•Master
InMastermode,theES80waitsforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltrigger
signalhasbeensenttotheslavesbeforetransmittingtheping.Thisisoften
referredtoasapre-trigger.

Thisdelaywillonlyworkwhenthesynchronizationissetupusingaserialport.

InSlavemode,theES80waitsforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltrigger
signalhasarrivedbeforetransmittingtheping.Thisisoftenreferredtoasa
