5.3 Using climbing aids
5.3.1 n Safety rules
j WARNING
Injuries from falling
Use only the platforms, walkways and
climbing aids that have been provided.
Platforms, walkways and climbing aids must
be kept in a non-slip state.
When climbing up or down and when on the
uppercarriage, always use the three-point
support technique with hands and feet.
Turn toward the face of the machine.
Only open cab door while seated and buck-
led in. Only operate, drive and adjust the
cab with the cab door closed.
An open cab door can swing. Prior to enter-
ing and leaving, ensure that the cab door is
supported by the locking device.
5.3.2 Cab access stairs
All control points for work operation are in the
cab.
Stairs are mounted on the undercarriage and
on the cab. Handles are located on the out-
side of the cab and in the cab.
Mounting
Use the handle (94/1) to open the cab door
and latch it in the locking device (94/2).
The lever (96/7) can be used to release the
locking mechanism from the floor.
Check whether the door is secure.
Enter the cab. n Be especially careful
when going from step (95/2) to step (95/3).
Get seated and buckled in immediately.
Release locking device of the cab door
using the lever (96/6).
Close cab door. To do this, first use the
upper part of the handle (96/4) and then
the handle (96/9).
Check whether the door is securely closed.
