5.12 Positioning the cab
5.12.1 n Safety rules
General
Only enter or exit the cab when it is in home
position (141/1). Check whether it is safe to
ascend and descend.
Steps must only be used to enter and exit
the cab, and not as a platform.
When moving the cab, do not endanger
yourself or other people at any time. Make
certain there is no one in the area around the
lift frame.
Maintain a safe distance from the loading
equipment and load to the cab.
Keep the cab door closed and remain
bucked in when adjusting the cab and when
driving and working with the loading ma-
chine.
Overhead electrical lines
Do not come into contact with overhead elec-
trical lines.
Maintain a safe distance.
If this is not possible, arrange for safe de-
energizing of the overhead lines.
If the machine touches an overhead power
line, it must only be exited or touched by per-
sons standing outside the cab when it is cer-
tain that the machine is no longer in contact
with the power line or the electricity supply
has been switched off.
Driving with the cab elevated
Move cab into home position (141/1). If this is
not possible, the following applies:
Routes are without obstructions, slopes or
potholes.
Entrance heights to work bays and other
premises are sufficient.
Move cab only while the machine is station-
ary.
Before turning off the Machine
Move cab back into home position (141/1).
Activate the parking brake.
Do not raise enlarged stabilizer plates (op-
tional), lay them on the ground instead.
