Regeneration of diesel particle filter
The diesel particle filter reduces the particles
present in the exhaust gas of diesel engines.
If it is heavily loaded with particles, an auto-
matic regeneration occurs for approx.
25 minutes. The loading machine can be con-
tinue to be operated during this operation. The
display (118/62) indicates the status:
Display off: No regeneration required.
Display flashes slowly: Regeneration re-
quired. Is now started automatically.
Display on: Regeneration running.
During the regeneration, the particles lodged
in the filter burn off. Exhaust gas speed and
exhaust temperature increase up to 650°C.
Therefore, regeneration should not take place
in a hall with combustible and/or lightweight
materials for example, but in the open air in-
stead. The display (118/62) therefore has a
button function in order to prevent a regenera-
tion. The tendency is indicated by (117/37).
