5.5 Starting and shutting down the diesel
engine
5.5.1 n Safety rules
n DANGER
Injuries to bystanders from machine move-
ments and hot exhaust; risk of fire.
Perform the prescribed checks before start-
ing.
h Chapter 7.4 Jobs before putting the ma-
chine into operation
Before starting the diesel engine, make sure
that no one is in the danger zone of the ma-
chine.
The current location must be suitable for the
regeneration.

cle filter status
5.5.2 Battery isolator switch
Before starting the diesel engine, the battery
isolator switch (111/1) must be switched on.
The battery isolator switch is located on the
underside of the uppercarriage, to the left of
the hydraulic oil tank.
ATTENTION
Risk of machine damage.
- The battery isolator switch should
only be used once the ignition
has been switched off for at least
15 seconds.
- If optional devices (such as sup-
plementary heating) or additional
equipment are installed and are
supplied with an electrical current
even when the ignition is
switched off, these should be
switched off or shut down before-
hand as required.
