5.13 Retracting or extending outrigger
5.13.1 n Safety rules
n DANGER
Risk of fatal injuries from overturning load-
ing machine
The ground must be level and firm enough
to support loads.
Ensure that the area is clear of people.
For work mode, extend the outrigger at
least until the wheels no longer touch the
ground.
All four stabilizer plates must always rest
securely on the ground.
During work mode, check the support situa-
tion continually. If necessary, adapt outrig-
ger and load (load weight, dynamics).
5.13.2 4-point outrigger
The diesel engine is running, the left arm-
rest is flipped down.
All outrigger legs are moved together. Slowly
extend the outrigger and retract it promptly.
Extend the outrigger
Move the lever (144/2) forward sensitively.
If the desired position is reached, bring
lever (144/2) into the central position and
release it.
ATTENTION
If, after the outrigger is extended, it is retracted
somewhat for correction, the hydraulic pressure
drops in the outrigger cylinder. Therefore, move
the lever (144/2) slightly forward.
Retract the outrigger
Move lever (144/2) back until the outrigger
is completely retracted.
