6.4 Flat bed trailer loading
For transport on a flat-bed trailer, secure the
machine so that it cannot move. Use the lash-
ing points on the two ends of the undercar-
riage (244/1).
Danger of injury due to machine
toppling over
• The machine must not be lifted by
these lashing points.
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor
►
Use only suitable means of transport and
hoisting gear with sufficient carrying capac-
ity.
►
Park the machine on flat ground and block
the wheels with chocks.
►
The gradient of the ramp for driving onto
the flat bed trailer must not exceed 30°.
Wooden planks must be placed on ramps
to prevent slipping.
►
Clean undercarriage. It must be swept
clean, i.e., before driving onto the ramp,
any snow, ice and sludge must be cleaned
off the wheels.
►
Remove chocks from wheels.
►
Align the loading machine exactly with the
loading ramp.
►
Make sure that a banksman gives the ma-
chine operator the necessary signals.
►
Retract loading equipment and drive onto
the loading ramp. Always keep the loading
equipment just above the loading surface.
Carefully drive onto the ramp and continue
onto the transport vehicle.
►
After loading the machine on the flatbed
trailer, secure the uppercarriage against
turning (apply swing brake).
