7.7 Inspection and maintenance work
7.7.1 Exhaust system with diesel particle
filter
j WARNING
Burns from hot exhaust system,
hot exhaust gas
Maintain a safe distance.
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor.
ATTENTION
All work on the exhaust system (even changing
the diesel particle filter) must only be carried out
by the diesel engine manufacturer or those au-
thorized by him.
ATTENTION
Diesel particle filters that can no
longer be reconditioned are haz-
ardous waste. Use an authorized
waste disposal company to dispose
of these in an environmentally-
friendly and safe manner.
7.7.2 Engine oil
All inspection and maintenance work not de-
scribed here should be performed as de-
scribed in the separate diesel engine operat-
ing instructions included in the scope of sup-
ply.
7.7.2.1 Checking the engine oil level

WARNING
Burns due to hot fluids and sur-
faces
Oil is hot when the machine is at
operating temperature. Avoid
touching hot oil or parts carrying
oil.
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor
The oil level of the diesel engine must be
checked when the machine is positioned
horizontally (with the engine turned off and
after a short wait so the oil can collect in
the oil pan).
The oil must be between MIN and MAX on
the oil-level dip-stick (277/2).
If necessary, top up with oil until the level
reaches the upper mark MAX.
