6.2 Recovery of the machine
If the machine is stuck fast on difficult terrain,
do not attempt to free it by rocking. The ma-
chine can be pulled free with the aid of the
loading equipment. In certain conditions, the
work attachment must be removed.
If the machine cannot be freed using the load-
ing equipment, it must be towed clear in the
manner described.

If the machine needs to be recovered, for ex-
ample because of a technical defect, it can
only be lifted and loaded with a suitable crane
in the manner described.

Remove pivot-mounted work at-
tachments such as a grab or
magnet before the machine is lift-
ed because of possible swinging
movements.
Assign only experienced persons
the task of attaching loads and
signaling to guide crane drivers.
Banksmen must remain within
the operator's range of vision or
stay in voice contact.
Do not stand under the raised
loading machine.
In an emergency: Administer first
aid, seek treatment from a doctor
Remove support feet from the outrigger
legs.
A hoisting device can be obtained from
TEREX | Fuchs. The pins and fastening el-
ements match the attachment of the out-
rigger feet.
Attach hoisting device (241/1) with the pins
(241/2) and the fastening elements (241/3).
Set outriggers (241/4) in horizontal posi-
tion.
