5.16 Charging
The loading machine is provided for loading
operation with outrigger extended (Fig. 159).
Loading operation on wheels reduces the sta-
bility.
5.16.1 n Safety rules
n DANGER
Risk of fatal injuries from overturning load-
ing machine
General
No one except the operator may remain on
the machine or in the danger zone during
operation.
Do not exceed the values given in the carry-
ing capacity tables.
Operate the control elements, especially the
4-way control lever, gently.
Position relative to the material to be loaded
and working speed relative to the situation.
Contact area
The contact area must be solid and capable of
supporting loads. The max. permitted incline
is 5°.
Loading machine supported
When turning the uppercarriage, note the
permissible all-round carrying capacity.
Do not turn the uppercarriage so fast that
an excessive centrifugal force is produced.
Brake in such a way that the load does not
swing.
Do not brake the rotary movement of the
machine by allowing the loading equipment
to drop.
