OPERATION 5
MHL360 E 5.59
5.19.5 Boom float function (optional)
The float function assists when goods are be-
ing unloaded from ships, for example. It re-
duces the load of the ship's floor when the
grab closes.
If the float function is active, it controls the
pressure ratios in the lifting cylinders and thus
the position of the boom. In order to adapt the
goods to the control for the current situation,
both close and remote range can be selected.
When a range is selected, the float function
switches on, but is not yet active. A foot
switch can be used for release if necessary.
On the main control display, corresponding
indicators (184/20) and text messages
(184/34) appear.
