6 RECOVERY, LOADING AND TRANSPORT
6.4 MHL360 E
6.1.2 2-speed manual transmission
Disengaging the 2-speed manual trans-
mission:
Unscrew the screw (238/1).
Remove the counter nut (238/2).
Turn in the screw (238/1) as far as the
stop.
Disengaging the parking brake:
Remove the screw cap (239/1).
Loosen the counter nut (239/3).
Unscrew the threaded pin (239/2) to re-
lease the brake disk.
Screw on the screw cap (239/1) by a few
thread turns to prevent soiling.
The loading machine can now be towed.
On completion of towing, the 2-speed manual
transmission and the parking brake must be
reengaged.
Re-engaging the 2-speed manual trans-
mission:
Remove the screw (238/1).
Turn in the counter nut (238/2) as far as
the stop.
Turn in the screw (238/1) until resistance is
felt, then turn back by 1 revolution.
Lock the nut (238/2).
Reengaging the parking brake:
Start the diesel engine and release the
parking brake.
Remove the screw cap (239/1).
Screw back the counter nut (239/3) on the
threaded pin (239/2).
Turn the set screw (239/2) clockwise until
the two brake lining carriers (240/4) make
contact with the brake disk (240/5).
Screw back the threaded pin (239/2) by ½
turn and tighten counter nut (239/3).
Screw on the screw cap (239/1) hand-tight.
