Aligning the uppercarriage with load
n Turning the uppercarriage in an unsup-
ported state with a load is prohibited. Ex-
tend outrigger.
Align uppercarriage with lower carriage in
the longitudinal direction. Maximum of five
degrees deviation.
Use the swing brake to secure the upper-
carriage against turning.
Outrigger
Prior to starting off, fully retract outrigger
(risk of accident).
Limited visibility
Position loading equipment as far as possi-
ble according to fig. 153. Depending on the
situation and load, a different position may
improve visibility.
Before and during travel, check that there
are no persons or obstructions in the direc-
tion of travel. When reversing, use the rear
view mirror aid and the rear view camera.
If persons approach the danger zone, beep
horn and stop.
Oscillating axle
If the cab is over the oscillating axle: it must
be locked.
If the cab is over the steering axle: unlock if
possible.
Bucket speed
Permissible maximum speed: 5 km/h (walk-
ing speed). Depending on the situation and
load, drive slower.
Driving with load
Loading equipment is over the steering axle.
Note the change in machine behavior. Sta-
bility is reduced by a rocking and swinging
load. Avoid sudden change of speed and
driving direction.
Drive in such a way that the load does not
swing out.
Stopping
Engage the parking brake while the ma-
chine is stopped. When the parking brake is
applied, the oscillating axle is automatically
locked.
