Adding a channel
Stations in an HF communication network use the information contained within a
channel to transmit and receive signals. Common channel information must be
programmed into transceivers that want to communicate with each other. Typically,
these channels are grouped into scan tables, which are allocated to an HF network.
NOTE: If you are operating the transceiver in a country that has stringent
licensing regulations, you may not be permitted to add channels with
transmit frequencies.
NOTE: If the TxD option is installed in the transceiver, there are restrictions on
the frequencies that you can enter.
NOTE: If the TxP option is installed in the transceiver, you cannot add
channels.
NOTE: You may be permitted to add a channel in free tune.
To add a channel:
1 From the main menu, select (User Data), then (Channels).
NOTE: You can also select (Add Channel) from the main menu to
directly enter a channel. This channel will be placed in the list of
channels in alphanumeric order.
