Selecting an encryptor
You can select the type of encryptor or scrambler that you want to use. This selection
can be made across available voice encryptors/scramblers, and across data encryptors.
NOTE: The ability to select an encryptor or scrambler at user level is set in
Settings > Security > General Options > Allow user to select
encryptor type.
To select an encryptor:
1 If you are using a 2220 Handset or 2230 Desk Console, do one of the following:
• From the main menu, select (General), then (Secure).
• Hold SEC.
1 If you are using a 2221 Handset:
• From the main menu, select (Functions).
• Press or to scroll to the Secure Info function.
•Press (OK).
1 Press to move from the list of entries to select the tab.
1 Press or to select the scrambler/encryptor tab that you want to use.
1 Press (Activate).
