Enter/Exit Programming Mode General Scanner and Scale Features
138 Magellan™ 9300i / 9400i Scanners
Low Power Level 3 Timeout
This feature specifies the amount of time of inactivity (with no label reads)
before the scanner enters Low Power Level 3. This low power mode provides the
maximum power savings by turning off all illumination and the horizontal
imagers.
To set this feature:
1. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar code.
2. Scan the bar code below, Set Low Power Level 3 Timeout. You’ll need to
cover any unused bar codes on this and the facing page to ensure that the
scanner reads only the bar code you intend to scan.
3. Scan the appropriate digits from the Keypad in Appendix C that represent
the desired delay. The selectable range is 0-255, which is the delay in 5-
minute increments. Pad all single and double digit numbers with leading
zeroes to yield a three-digit entry (000-255).
4. Complete the programming sequence by scanning the Enter/Exit Pro-
gramming Mode bar code.
Examples:
001 = 5 minute
012 = 1 hour
255 = 21 hours
NOTE
Any of these actions will wake the scanner up from Level 3 low
power mode:
Press the scanner button
Tap the scale (if scale is enabled)
Send a host command
Scan a barcode with an attached handheld scanner
Set Low Power Level 3 Timeout
Default setting for this feature is: 00 (disabled)
