Beep on Not on File
Select for the host to beep (or not) when a not-on-file condition is detected by
the host. This feature is also applicable to single cable RS-232.
Options for this feature are:
• Muted (no beep will sound)
•Low Volume
•Medium Volume
• High Volume
To configure this feature:
1. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar code.
2. Scan the bar code for the desired selection below. You’ll need to cover any
unused bar codes on this and the facing page to ensure that the scanner
reads only the bar code you intend to scan.
3. Complete the programming sequence by scanning the Enter/Exit Pro-
gramming Mode bar code.
RS-232 Beep on Not on File = Muted
RS-232 Beep on Not on File = Low Volume
RS-232 Beep on Not on File = Medium Volume
RS-232 Beep on Not on File = High Volume
