UPC/EAN Minimum Segment Length
This feature specifies the minimum number of characters needed in a UPC/EAN
segment in order to be accepted for decoding.
To set this feature:
1. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar code.
2. Scan the bar code for the desired setting below. You’ll need to cover any
unused bar codes on this and the facing page to ensure that the scanner
reads only the bar code you intend to scan.
3. Complete the programming sequence by scanning the Enter/Exit Pro-
gramming Mode bar code.
UPC/EAN Minimum Segment Length = 5 Characters
UPC/EAN Minimum Segment Length = 6 Characters
UPC/EAN Minimum Segment Length = 7 Characters
UPC/EAN Minimum Segment Length = 8 Characters
UPC/EAN Minimum Segment Length = 9 Characters
