(5) Remove t he front seat belt lower anchor from
the ou tboar d side of th e seat frame.
(6) Remove the trim panel from t he inside of the
B-pillar. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/B-PILLAR
TRIM - REMOVAL).
(7) Pull the height adjuster t rim away from the
upper B-pillar to disenga ge the driver fr om t he lug of
the h eight adjuster (F ig. 23).
(8) Pull the front seat belt a nd lower a nchor
through th e back of the height adjuster trim.
(9) Remove the n ut th at secur es t he fron t seat belt
turning loop to the height adjuster (Fig. 24).
(10) Remove th e fr ont sea t belt turnin g loop from
the height adjuster.
CAUTION: Do not pull on the wires to disengage
the connector from the seat belt tensioner initiator
connector receptacle. Improper removal of the con-
nector insulator can result in damage to the seat
belt tensioner circuits or the connector insulator.
(11) If so equipped, disconnect the vehicle wir e
harness connect or for the seat belt t ension er from the
initia tor recepta cle of the retractor loca ted on t he
lower i n ner B-pillar (Fig. 25). Th e con nector is a
tight snap-fit into the init iator receptacle. F irmly
gra sp and pull or gen tly pr y on the con nector insula-
tor and pull th e con nector stra igh t out from the ini-
tia tor to discon nect it from the receptacle.
