REMOVAL
The engine must be rem oved from the vehicle and
complet ely dissassembled to r eplace the oil jet s.
(1) Remove engine from veh icle.
(2) Complet ely dissassemble en gine.
(3) Usin g an ext raction claw #9746 (3) and a slide
hammer (1), rem ove t he oil jets (2) from engine block
(Fig. 54).
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all oil jet into special tool #8924.
(2) Align oil jet in location in en gin e block.
NOTE: Align oil jet with the groove in special tool
#8924.
(3) Drive oil jets in to block using special tool #8924
until oil jet is fully seated into engine block (Fig.
55).
(4) Reassemble en gin e.
(5) In st all engine int o veh icle.
OI L PAN
REMOVAL
(1) Drain engine oil.
(2) Remove the sway ba r r etaining bolts a nd swing
sway bar down an d ou t of the way.
(3) Remove th e wir ing ha rness duct fr om the oil
pa n bolts a nd position out of th e way.
(4) Lower the vehicle an d r emove the t urboch arger
upper heat shield.
(5) Connect engine support fixtur e #8534 using
adaptor s #8534–16, to the engine lifting eye and
raise engine slightly (Fig. 56).
