REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) In sert the t ip of a small fl a t-bladed scr ewdriver
into the notch on one edge of the cargo/dom e lamp
housin g to depr ess th e retainer clip and pull that
edge of the lamp away from its moun ting location
(Fig. 3).
(3) Pull the ca rgo/dome lamp un it from its mou nt-
ing loca tion far en ough to access and disconnect the
vehicle wire h arness fr om th e lam p con nector recep-
tacle.
(4) Remove the cargo/dome lamp u nit from its
mounting loca tion.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the cargo/dome la mp u nit to it s
mounting loca tion.
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
to the ca rgo/dome lamp conn ector recepta cle (Fig. 3).
(3) Position the edge of the cargo/dome lamp hous-
ing opposite from t he ret ainer clip int o the moun ting
hole.
(4) Push fir mly and evenly on th e notch ed edge of
the ca rgo/dome lam p h ousing until the retainer clip
lat ches into place.
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.

REMOVAL - INSTRUMENT PANEL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the accessory switch bezel fr om th e
instr umen t pa nel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRU-
MENT PANEL/ACCESSORY SWITCH BEZEL -
REMOVAL).
(3) From th e back of the a ccessor y swit ch bezel,
disconnect the vehicle wire har ness connector for th e
cargo lamp swit ch from t he recept acle on t he back of
the switch (Fig. 4).
(4) From th e back of the a ccessor y swit ch bezel,
depr ess t he two latches on the ou tside of th e switch
body and push th e switch out t hrough t he front of
the bezel.
REMOVAL - BULKHEAD
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Carefully pry the cargo lam p switch and switch
bezel out of th e switch box on the ba ck of the cargo
compart ment bulkhea d pa nel.
(3) Pull the cargo la mp switch an d bezel awa y
from the switch box fa r enou gh t o a ccess a nd discon-
nect th e vehicle wir e h arness connect or for th e
switch from the recepta cle on t he ba ck of the switch.
(4) From th e back of the swit ch bezel, depress the
two la tches on the out side of the ca rgo la mp switch
body and push the swit ch ou t t hrough the top of the
switch bezel.
REMOVAL - REAR PILLAR
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Carefully pry the cargo lam p switch and switch
bezel out of th e swit ch mountin g hole on the inside of
the r ear door opening pillar.
