into the right side of the m ounting hole.
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
LOW BEAM H EADLAM P BU LB
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Disengage a nd swing the retainers tha t secure
the front lamp unit r ear cover to each side of the
lam p h ousing an d r emove the cover (Fig. 35).
(3) Disconn ect the front lam p u nit wire h arn ess
connect or from the low bea m headlamp bulb base
(Fig. 36).
(4) Disengage the low beam headla mp bulb
reta iner by pushing it sligh tly towar d t he front lam p
unit hou sing and down ward from the bulb base, then
pivot th e ret ainer off of the bulb base.
(5) Remove the low beam hea dlamp bu lb from th e
integra l bulb holder on the front lamp u nit reflector.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the low beam headlamp bulb into the
integra l bulb holder on the front lamp u nit reflector.
Be certain tha t the lugs on the bulb base are
enga ged in t he recesses of the bulb holder (Fig. 36).
(2) Engage the low beam hea dlam p bulb retainer
by pivotin g it over the bu lb base, pressing it sligh tly
towar d the front lamp unit housing an d upward
towar d t he side of the bulb base.
(3) Reconnect the front lamp u nit wire harn ess
connect or to th e low beam hea dlam p bulb base.
(4) Position the front la mp un it rear cover ont o the
lam p h ousing an d en gage th e retainers over ea ch
side of the cover t o secure it (Fig. 35).
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
