SECTION IDENTIFICATION AND INFORMATION
The wiring dia grams ar e grouped into in dividu al
section s. If a com pon ent is most likely foun d in a par-
ticular gr oup, it will be shown com plete (a ll wires,
connect ors, a nd pin s) within t hat group. For exam-
ple, the Auto Sh utdown Rela y is m ost likely to be
found in Gr oup 30, so it is shown there complete. It
can, however, be shown part ially in a nother group i f
it contains some associated wir ing.
Splice diagram s in Sect ion 8W-70 show the en tire
splice and provide referen ces to other sections the
splices ser ves. Section 8W-70 only cont ain s splice dia-
gra ms tha t are not shown in t heir entiret y som e-

CONNECTOR, GROUND, AND SPLICE INFOR-
MATION
CAUTION: Not all connectors are serviced. Some
connectors are serviced only with a harness. A typ-
ical example might be the Supplemental Restraint
System connectors. Always check parts availability
before attempting a repair.
IDENTIFICATION
In -lin e connectors are iden tified by a number, a s
follows:
• In-line con nectors loca ted in the en gin e compa rt-
ment are C100 series numbers
• In-line conn ectors locat ed in th e Inst rument
Panel area are C200 series numbers.
• In-line conn ectors locat ed in the body ar e C300
series nu mbers.
• J umper harness connect ors are C400 series
numbers.
