(4) Remove the bulb from th e bulb holder.
INSTALLATION
(1) In sert t he bulb into th e entry/exit lamp bu lb
holder (Fig. 10).
(2) Grasp the entry/exit lamp housing firmly in
one h and, then insert the bulb h older into the hous-
ing and r otate it clockwise to lock it in place with the
other h and.
(3) Reinstall th e entry/exit la mp un it in to its
mounting loca tion . (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/
LAMPS/LIGHTING - INTERIOR/ENTRY/EXIT
LAMP UNIT - INSTALLATION).
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) In sert the t ip of a small fl a t-bladed scr ewdriver
into the notch on one edge of t he entr y/exit lam p
housin g to depr ess th e retainer clip and pull that
edge of the lamp away from its moun ting location
(Fig. 11).
(3) Pull the entry/exit lam p un it from its mount ing
locat ion far enou gh to access a nd disconnect the vehi-
cle wire ha rness from the lamp connector recept acle.
(4) Remove t he ent ry/exit lam p unit from its
mounting loca tion.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position t he entry/exit lamp unit to its m ount-
ing location.
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
to th e ent ry/exit la mp connect or recepta cle (Fig. 11).
(3) Position th e edge of th e ent ry/exit lamp hous-
ing opposite from t he ret ainer clip int o the moun ting
hole.
(4) Push fir mly and evenly on th e notch ed edge of
the entr y/exit lamp housin g until the ret ainer clip
lat ches into place.
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
TIME DELAY RELAY
REMOVAL
WARNING: To avoid personal injury or death, on
vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the supple-
mental restraint system before attempting any
steering wheel, steering column, airbag, seat belt
tensioner, or instrument panel component diagno-
sis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery
negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for
the system capacitor to discharge before perform-
ing further diagnosis or service. This is the only
sure way to disable the supplemental restraint sys-
tem. Failure to take the proper precautions could
result in accidental airbag deployment.
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Move th e driver side fron t seat to its most for-
ward position for easiest access to th e sea t riser
cover panel.
(3) Remove t he two screws th at secure the cover
pa nel t o the top of the seat riser under th e driver
side fron t sea t (Fig. 12).
