(3) Pull the cargo la mp switch an d bezel awa y
from t he pillar far enough t o access a nd discon nect
the vehicle wir e harn ess connector for the switch
from the receptacle on t he back of the swit ch.
(4) From th e back of the swit ch bezel, depress the
two la tches on the out side of the ca rgo la mp switch
body and push the swit ch ou t t hrough the top of the
switch bezel.
INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION - INSTRUMENT PANEL
(1) From t he fr ont of the accessory switch bezel,
align the cargo lamp switch body with the open ing in
the bezel a nd push the switch into th e bezel unt il the
two latch es on the ou tside of the switch body sna p
into place (Fig. 4).
(2) From th e back of the a ccessor y swit ch bezel,
reconn ect the vehicle wire harn ess connector for the
cargo lam p swit ch to the receptacle on th e back of
the switch.
(3) Reinstall t he accessory switch bezel onto th e
instr umen t pa nel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRU-
MENT PANEL/ACCESSORY SWITCH BEZEL -
INSTALLATION).
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
INSTALLATION - BULKHEAD
(1) From the fron t of th e swit ch bezel, align the
cargo lamp swit ch body with th e opening in the bezel
and push the switch into the bezel until th e t wo
lat ches on the out side of th e switch body snap int o
place.
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
for the car go lamp switch to the receptacle on the
back of the switch.
(3) Usin g ha nd pr essu re, firmly a nd evenly press
the car go la mp switch a nd switch bezel into the
switch box on th e back of the cargo com pa rtment
bu lkh ea d pa n el.
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
INSTALLATION - REAR PILLAR
(1) From the fron t of th e swit ch bezel, align the
cargo lamp swit ch body with th e opening in the bezel
and push the switch into the bezel until th e t wo
lat ches on the out side of th e switch body snap int o
place.
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
for the car go lamp switch to the receptacle on the
back of the switch.
(3) Usin g ha nd pr essu re, firmly a nd evenly press
the car go la mp switch a nd switch bezel into the
switch mounting hole on the inside of the rea r door
openin g pillar.
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
DOM E / READI N G LAM P BU LB
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the dom e/reading lam p u nit from its
mounting location, but do not discon nect the veh icle
wire h arness from the lamp connector receptacle.
(Refer to 8 - E LECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGH TING -
INTERIOR/DOME/READING LAMP UNIT -
REMOVAL).
(3) Grasp the lamp housing in one ha nd a nd care-
fully pull th e bulb ou t of the bulb holder with the
other h and (Fig. 5).
INSTALLATION
(1) Grasp th e dome/reading la mp hou sing in one
hand and carefu lly insert t he bulb into the bulb
holder with th e other han d (F ig. 5).
(2) Reinstall the dome/reading lamp unit int o it s
mounting loca tion . (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/
LAMPS/LIGHTING - INTE RIOR/DOME /READING
LAMP UNIT - INSTALLATION).
(3) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
DOM E / READI N G LAM P U N I T
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) In sert the t ip of a small fl a t-bladed scr ewdriver
into t he n otch on one edge of the dome/reading lamp
housin g to depr ess th e retainer clip and pull that
edge of the lamp away from its moun ting location
(Fig. 6).
