(3) Pull the dome/r eadin g lamp un it from its
mounting location fa r en ough to access a nd discon -
nect t he vehicle wir e ha rness from the la mp connec-
tor recept acle.
(4) Remove the dom e/reading lam p u nit from its
mounting loca tion.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position th e dome/rea ding lamp unit to its
mounting loca tion.
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
to th e dome/reading la mp connector receptacle (Fig.
6).
(3) Position th e edge of the dome/reading lamp
housin g opposite from t he retainer clip into the
mounting hole.
(4) Push fir mly and evenly on th e notch ed edge of
the dome/reading lamp hou sing until t he ret ainer
clip latch es int o place.
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the dome lamp/intr usion sen sor u nit
from its mountin g locat ion, but do not disconnect the
vehicle wire h arness fr om th e lam p con nector recep-
tacle. (Refer to 8 - ELE CTRICAL/LAMP S/LIGHTING
- INTERIOR/DOME LAMP/INTRUSION SENSOR
UNIT - REMOVAL).
(3) Grasp t he lamp housin g in one hand and r otate
the bulb holder and bulb unit coun terclockwise a bout
30 degr ees on the circu it boar d (F ig. 7).
(4) Pull t he bulb holder and bulb unit str aight ou t
from the moun ting hole in the cir cuit board.
INSTALLATION
(1) Grasp the dome la mp/int rusion sensor unit
housin g in one hand and align the bulb holder and
bulb un it with t he bulb mou nting hole in th e circuit
board with the other h and (Fig. 7).
(2) In sert the bulb holder and bulb unit st raight
into the circuit boa rd bulb mounting h ole until it is
firmly sea ted.
(3) Rotat e the bulb h older and bulb u nit clockwise
about 30 degrees on the circuit board.
(4) Reinstall t he dome lam p/intrusion sensor un it
into its mou nting location. (Refer to8-ELECTRI-
CAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - INTERIOR/DOME LAMP /
INTRUSION SENSOR UNIT - INSTALLATION).
(5) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) In sert the t ip of a small fl a t-bladed scr ewdriver
into the notch on one edge of t he dom e la mp/int ru-
sion sen sor unit housing t o depress the ret ain er clip
and pull th at edge of the la mp a way fr om its mou nt-
ing location (Fig. 8).
