(3) Pull the CHMSL u nit a way from the vehicle far
enough to access and discon nect the vehicle wir e har-
ness from th e lamp pigt ail wir e connector.
(4) Remove the CHMSL unit from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the CHMSL unit close en ough to t he
vehicle t o recon nect the lamp pigtail wire conn ector
to th e veh icle wire har ness.
(2) Position the CHMSL unit to the veh icle.
(3) In st all and t igh ten the two screws that secure
the CHMSL unit to th e veh icle (Fig. 9).
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
CLEARAN CE LAM P BU LB
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the clearance la mp unit from t he veh i-
cle, but do not disconnect it from the vehicle wire
harness. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGH T-
ING - E XTERIOR/CLEARANCE LAMP -
REMOVAL).
(3) Pull the cleara nce lam p awa y fr om th e vehicle
far enough t o a ccess th e bu lb holder on t he back of
the lamp h ousing (Fig. 10).
(4) Rotat e the bulb holder coun terclockwise a bout
30 degr ees and pu ll it stra igh t ou t fr om t he lamp
housin g.
(5) Remove t he bulb fr om t he clea rance lamp bulb
holder.
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all the bulb int o the clearance lam p bu lb
holder (Fig. 10).
(2) In sert the bulb holder int o the back of the
clear ance lamp housing a nd r otate it clockwise abou t
30 degr ees to lock it into place.
(3) Reinstall the cleara nce la mp onto the vehicle.
(Refer to 8 - E LECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGH TING -
EXTE RIOR/CLEARANCE LAMP - INSTALLATION).
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
CLEARAN CE LAM P U N I T
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the t wo screws t hat secure the clear-
ance lamp u nit to the vehicle (F ig. 11).
(3) Pull the clea rance la mp un it a way from the
vehicle far enough to access an d disconnect th e vehi-
cle wire ha rness from the bulb holder conn ector
recepta cle.
(4) Remove the clearance la mp unit from t he veh i-
cle.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position t he clearance lam p unit close enou gh
to the vehicle t o reconnect the vehicle wire harn ess
to th e bulb holder connector recept acle (Fig. 11).
(2) Position the clearance lamp un it to the vehicle.
(3) In st all and t igh ten the two screws that secure
the clear ance lam p u nit to the vehicle.
(4) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
