(2) Remove th e screw th at secur es the park bra ke
switch a nd th e gr ound eyelet term ina l t o th e park
br a k e lever.
(3) Disengage the pa rk brake switch from t he park
br a k e lever.
(4) Disconn ect the vehicle wire harness connect or
for the pa rk brake switch from the swit ch terminal.
(5) Remove th e par k br ake switch fr om the park
br a k e lever.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position th e park bra ke switch near th e park
brake lever (F ig. 38).
(2) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
for the pa rk brake switch to the switch terminal.
(3) Engage the pa rk br ake switch into the par k
br a k e lever.
(4) In st all and tigh ten the screw that secur es th e
pa rk brake switch and t he grou nd eyelet terminal t o
the park brake lever.
(5) Reinstall the t rim cover onto the par k brake
lever. (Refer to 5 - BRAKE S/PARKING BRAKE/LE-
VER - INSTALLATION).

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) If the vehicle is so equipped, remove th e trim
from the inside of th e right or left rear corner pillar.
(3) From in side the vehicle, use han d pressure to
pu sh the two lat ch ta bs towa rd th e center of the tail
lam p unit socket plate an d pull the socket pla te
st raight ou t from the inner rear pilla r (Fig. 39).
(4) Pull the socket plat e a way fr om the in ner rear
pillar fa r enough to a ccess the side ma rker lamp bulb
(Fig. 40).
(5) Remove the side ma rker lam p bulb fr om t he
tail lamp socket plate.
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all the side ma rker lam p bulb int o the tail
lam p socket pla te (Fig. 40).
(2) Align the socket pla te with the moun tin g hole
in the inne r re ar p illar.
