receives a comm an d fr om th e E CM t h at t h e en gin e
is r u nn in g. Th is r ela y su pplies power to the CTM
(for a u to lock in g), th e da yt ime r un n in g la mps a n d
th e rea r win dow defogger.
3.5.4 ACCIDENT RESPONSE

Dr iver cir cuit . Anyt ime th e veh icle a ir ba gs a re
deployed, th e CTM will un lock a ll door s a n d a

locks will be in oper at ive un t il t ha t code is clea r ed. If
th e veh icle is sever ly ja r red, bu t n ot en ou gh t o
deploy t h e a ir ba gs, it is possible th a t th e DTC cou ld
be set a n d th er efor e th e door lock s wou ld be in op-
er a ble. Wh en ever t h e door locks a r e not oper a -
tion al, use t he DRBIII a nd ch eck DTC’s . If t h e code
#ACM h as u nlocked t he door s# appears, use the

3.6 VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM
(VTSS)
