REMOVAL
(1) Open door a nd disengage check a rm from
receiver. (Fig. 1)
(2) Remove the scr ews and remove th e check arm.
(3) Remove the d-pilla r trim, if equipped. (Refer to
23 - BODY/INTERIOR/D-PILLAR TRIM -
REMOVAL)
(4) Remove the rivets and remove th e receiver.
INSTALLATION
(1) In st all the receiver a nd replace the rivets.
(2) In st all d-pillar tr im, if equipped. (Refer to 23 -
BODY/INTERIOR/D-PILLAR TRIM - INSTALLA-
TION )
(3) In st all check arm and scr ews.
(4) Tighten t he screws to 10 N·m (89 in. lbs.).
DOOR
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate battery negative ca ble.
(2) Open door a nd disengage check a rm from
receiver. (Fig. 2)
(3) Usin g a grease pencil or equivalent, ma rk th e
outline of th e door hinges on th e door to aid in insta l-
lat ion.
(4) Su pport door with a suitable lifting device.
(5) Remove th e bolts and r emove the door. (F ig.
