REMOVAL
An a sh receiver/cigar light er lamp unit is optional
equipm ent on this m odel (Fig. 1). Th e bulb a nd bulb
holder a re secured by an integra l mount to the ou t-
side of th e cigar light er h alo ring, a nd ser ves t o illu -
minate bot h the tr anslu cent halo ring and the ash
receiver. A sma ll len s that is sna p-fit into the in board
side of the ash receiver bin allows ligh t from the
lam p on t he ha lo ring to also illu minate t he ash
receiver. The ash receiver/ciga r lighter la mp is ser-
viced only as a unit with th e ash receiver housing
and cigar lighter recepta cle. If th e lamp is faulty or
da maged, the ent ire ash receiver h ousing and cigar
lighter recept acle unit must be r eplaced. (Refer to 23
- BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/ASH RECEIVER -
REMOVAL).

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove the cargo/dome lamp u nit from its
mounting location, but do not discon nect the veh icle
wire h arness from the lamp connector receptacle.
(Refer to 8 - E LECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGH TING -
INTERIOR/CARGO/DOME LAMP UNIT -
REMOVAL).
(3) Grasp the lamp housing in one ha nd a nd care-
fully pull th e bulb ou t of the bulb holder with the
other h and (Fig. 2).
INSTALLATION
(1) Grasp th e car go/dome la mp housing in one
hand and carefu lly insert t he bulb into the bulb
holder with th e other han d (F ig. 2).
(2) Reinstall the ca rgo/dome lamp unit int o its
mounting loca tion . (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/
LAMPS/LIGHTING - INTERIOR/CARGO/DOME
LAMP UNIT - INSTALLATION).
(3) Reconnect t he battery negative cable.
