(5) Remove the washer su pply h ose from the
barbed outlet nipple of t he wa sher pu mp/motor a nd
allow the washer fluid to drain into a clea n con tainer
for reuse.
(6) Disengage the washer su pply h ose fr om t he
routing trou gh integral t o the top of t he wa sh er res-
ervoir.
(7) Remove the nut and wa sh er t hat secures th e
top of th e washer reservoir to the stud nut on t he
right in ner fender.
(8) Pull th e washer reser voir inboa rd far enou gh to
disengage the reservoir from the stud nut.
(9) Tilt the washer reser voir forward far en ough to
disengage th e rea r moun ting post from the grom met
in the d as h p anel.
(10) Lift the washer reser voir upwar d far en ough
to disengage the lower mountin g post fr om th e gr om-
met in the top of t he right fr ont wheel hou se.
(11) Remove th e wa sh er reser voir fr om the engine
compart ment .
INSTALLATION
(1) Position th e wash er reservoir into the engine
compart ment .
(2) Engage t he lower mou nting post of the washer
reservoir in to th e grom met in th e top of the righ t
front wh eel house (Fig. 22).
(3) Engage the rear mounting post of the washer
reservoir into the gromm et in the da sh pa nel.
(4) Position the wa sh er r eservoir mountin g hole
over t he stud n ut on the right inner fen der (Fig. 21).
(5) In st all and tight en the nut and washer t hat
secures th e top of th e washer r eservoir to the stu d
nut on the right inn er fender. Tigh ten the nut to 6
N·m (50 in. lbs.).
(6) Reconnect t he wash er supply hose to the
barbed outlet nipple of t he washer pump/motor.
(7) Engage the washer supply hose into th e rout -
ing tr ough in tegr al t o th e top of t he wa sh er r eservoir.
(8) Reconnect t he vehicle wire harn ess conn ector
for th e washer pump/mot or un it t o the motor connec-
tor recept acle.
(9) Engage the veh icle wir e ha rness i n to t he r out-
ing clip integral to the front of the wa sh er reservoir.
(10) Rein st all the u pper turboch arger h eat shield
and the upper a ir clea ner housing into the engine
compart ment (F ig. 20).
(11) Refill the washer reservoir with the wa sh er
fluid drained fr om the reservoir during the remova l
pr ocedure.
(12) Reconn ect the batt ery n egative cable.
