(5) Pull SKREEM straight ou t of rea r of instru-
ment cluster (F ig. 4) and remove from veh icle.
SENTRY KEY REMOTE ENTRY MODULE TRAN-
SPONDER RING
(1) Open hood, disconnect and isolat e t he bat tery
nega tive cable.
(2) Wait two min utes for th e system r eserve capac-
itor to disch arge before beginning any system or com-
pon ent service.
(3) Remove the st eering column shr ouds.
(4) Unsn ap t he SKREE M tran sponder from the
ign ition cylinder (Fig. 5).
(5) Remove top cover - cl u st er (Refer to 23 -
BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/TOP COVER - CLUS-
TER - REMOVAL).
(6) Disconn ect the t ran sponder elect rica l connect or
from the SKREEM (Fig. 4).
(7) Maneuver wiring from instru ment panel and
remove tr ansponder fr om vehicle.
INSTALLATION
SENTRY KEY REMOTE ENTRY MODULE
(1) Push SKREEM stra igh t in to th e rear of instr u-
ment cluster (F ig. 4).
(2) Connect t he one electrical connector to the
SKREEM (Fig. 4).
(3) In st all the top cover - cluster (Refer to 23 -
BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/TOP COVER - CLUS-
TER - INSTALLATION)
(4) Connect the batt ery n egat ive cable.
(5) Verify vehicle a nd system oper ation.
(6) Close hood.
SENTRY KEY REMOTE ENTRY MODULE TRAN-
SPONDER RING
(1) Maneuver wiring throu gh in st rumen t pa nel
(Fig. 5).
(2) Connect the tra nsponder electrical con nect or
to th e SKREE M (Fig. 4).
(3) In st all the top cover - cluster (Refer to 23 -
BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/TOP COVER - CLUS-
TER - INSTALLATION)
(4) Sn ap the SKREEM transponder in pla ce
around the ign ition cylinder (Fig. 5).
(5) In st all the steering colum n shrouds.
(6) Connect the batt ery n egat ive cable.
(7) Verify vehicle a nd system oper ation.
(8) Close hood.

REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable.
(2) Remove mountin g fasten ers.
(3) Disconn ect wire har ness connect or from siren .
INSTALLATION
(1) Connect wire har ness connector to siren.
(2) Position siren. Inst all and tighten mou nting
fasten ers.
(3) Connect batt ery n egat ive cable.
