3.5 POWER DOOR LOCKS/RKE
3.5.1 CENTRAL LOCKING
Th e Cen tr a l Lockin g Syst em locks a ll veh icle
door s if an y door is locked fr om t he in side or
mech a nica lly locked wit h th e key from t h e ou tside.
However, un locking an y door, in t h at m a nn er, will
only u n lock t ha t pa r t icu la r door. Th e Ma st er Door
Lock Swit ch on t he da sh en a bles th e oper a tor t o
lock/un lock a ll door s. By pr essin g th e t op of t h e
rocker type swit ch on ce, a ll door s will lock. Pr essin g
th e swit ch aga in will u n lock all door s. P r essin g th e
lower pa rt of t he swit ch on ce will lock a ll door s
except t he dr iver door. Pr essin g t he lower pa r t
aga in will u nlock a ll door s except th e dr iver door. If
th e Cen t ra l Lock ing Syst em a u tom a t ica lly u nlock s
aft er the veh icle wa s a t tem pt ed to be locked, a t
lea st one door is n ot pr operly closed.

Lock Switch . Th e left in dica tor is for the dr iver door

In side ea ch door lock m ot or t her e is a com m an d
swit ch . Th e com ma n d swit ch is oper a ted by th e
plu n ger a nd signa ls a n y ch a nge in t he lock st at u s,
locked or u n locked. E a ch com m an d swit ch is wir ed
to t he Cen tr a l Tim er Modu le (CTM) som et im es
refer red t o a s t h e Cen t r al Lockin g Modu le. If a ll
door s ar e closed a n d ar e unlocked, a n d an y door is
locked by t h e key or t he in t er ior h a ndle, t h er eby
cha n gin g t h e com m a nd swit ch, a ll door s will be
locked. If one of t he door lock mot or s does not r ea ch
th e en d posit ion a ft er a lock ing comm a nd, it will be
detect ed by th e CTM (com ma n d swit ch not in
#Locked# posit ion ) a nd t he veh icle will be u n locked.
3.5.2 REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE)

Keyless E n t ry Modu le a nd th e SKIM (Sen t r y Key
