REMOVAL
(1) Remove hea t shield.
(2) Disconn ect air flow sensor from housing (F ig.
10).
(3) Unclip the air clea ner housing lid (Fig. 10).
(4) Remove air cleaner elem ent (Fig. 10).
INSTALLATION
(1) Position and seat th e air cleaner elemen t into
the lower hou sing (Fig. 10).
(2) In st all the housing cover and sn ap ret ain ers
into place (Fig. 10).
(3) In st all air flow sensor int o hou sing cover an d
connect . (Fig. 10).
(4) Connect the air clea ner r est rict ion sensor (F ig.
10)..
(5) In st all hea t shield.
AI R CLEAN ER H OU SI N G
REMOVAL
(1) Disconn ect the n egat ive battery cable.
(2) Remove the heat shield.
(3) Remove the air flow sensor (Refer to 14 - FUEL
SYSTEM/FUEL INJ ECTION/MANIFOLD AIR
FLOW (MAF) SE NSOR - RE MOVAL).
(4) Disconn ect the air intake pr essu re sensor,
unclip t he t op of the air cleaner hou sing an d remove
(Fig. 11).
(5) Take out air clean er elem ent (Fig. 11).
(6) Detach bot tom pa rt of the a ir clean er housin g
at the body (Fig. 11).
(7) Take a ir int ake hose out of inner fen der and
out of th e r ubber bu shing in t he wheel housin g lin er,
then deta ch it at th e bot tom part of t he air clea ner
housin g (Fig. 11).
