DESCRIPTION
NOTE: No over sized pistons are available.
The piston s are of a free floating design and m ade
of opt imized alu minum a lloy with a graphite coated
bearing su rface. The crown of the piston has been
designed to accommodat e higher injection pressur es.
Oil jets in t he en gin e block lubr icate and cool the pis-
ton and pin a ssem bly. The con necting rods have a
pr essed in place wr ist pin bushing fea turing specia lly
adju st ed lubrication grooves wh ich are lubr icat ed by
the oil jets (Fig. 37). The steel connectin g rods fea -
ture a sm all end of trapezoida l shape and a cracked
large e nd .
