(2) Disconn ect and isolate the battery nega tive
cable. Wait two m inutes for the syst em capacitor to
dischar ge before fur ther ser vice.
(3) Remove the trim panel from t he inside of the
B-pillar. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/B-PILLAR
TRIM - REMOVAL).
(4) Pull the height adjuster t rim away from the
upper B-pillar to disenga ge the driver fr om t he lug of
the h eight adjuster (F ig. 40).
(5) Remove the n ut th at secur es t he fron t seat belt
turning loop to the height adjuster (Fig. 41).
(6) Remove the fr ont seat belt turn ing loop from
the height adjuster.
(7) Remove the t wo screws t hat secu re the sea t
belt turn ing loop heigh t adjuster to the upper inner
B-pillar (Fig. 42).
