(5) Carefully remove th e trim from th e A-pillar
that con ceals the side curtain air bag front tether
(Fig. 45).
(6) Disconn ect the pigta il wire con nector for t he
side cur tain air bag from th e vehicle wire h arn ess
connect or on the B-pillar (Fig. 46).
(7) Cut the tie wr ap that secu res the side curta in
air bag pigtail wire to t he in side of th e B-pillar.
(8) Remove th e screw that secures the side cur tain
air bag tether reta iner to the base of the A-pilla r near
the belt line (Fig. 47).
(9) Remove th e screw that secu res th e fron t of the
side cur tain airbag t o the A-pillar (Fig. 48).
(10) Remove t he screw that secures the rear of th e
side cur tain airbag t o the B-pillar.
(11) Disengage the lug t hat secur es the side cur-
tain airba g br acket from within the bore in the roof
side rail and r emove th e u nit from the vehicle (Fig.
49).
