(3) In st all an d tight en th e nu t th at secu res the
wiper arm to the wiper pivot sh aft. Tighten the nut
to 24 N·m (18 ft. lbs.).
(4) Wet t he windshield glass, th en opera te the wip-
ers. Move th e right (wiper) con trol stalk of th e multi-
function switch to the Off position , then check for t he
correct wiper arm posit ion and readj u st a s r equired.
(5) Engage the pivot cover wit h the wiper arm
hinge pin, then push the pivot end of th e cover down
firmly an d evenly un til it snaps over t he wiper blade
pivot en d.
(6) Reconnect th e wa sh er nozzle hose to th e elbow
fitting on the cowl top panel near t he pivot en d of the
wiper a r m .
