(12) Remove th e camshaft housin g at th e cylinder
head (F ig. 14).
(13) Remove th e high pressur e pump.
(14) Remove th e front h ead cover plate.
WARNING: NO FIRE, OPEN FLAMES OR SMOKING.

WHEN HANDLING FUEL.
(15) Remove the high pressur e fu el pump interme-
diate gear (Fig. 14).
(16) Disconn ect t he engine side of the en gine h ar-
ness and set aside.
(17) Disconn ect the cha rge air pipe at th e cylinder
head and set aside with th e engine harness con-
nected.
(18) Remove th e turbocharger oil supply line at
the cylinder head and t urbocharger (Fig. 14).
(19) Disconn ect the turbochar ger at the exhau st
manifold (Fig. 14).
(20) Un bolt the t ran smission oil level indicator
tube fastener s from the cylinder hea d and engine
block (Fig. 14).
(21) Disconn ect t he upper ra diator hose and by
pa ss h ose at the ther mostat h ousing (Fig. 14).
NOTE: Capture any fuel spillage when disconnect-
ing fuel lines.
(22) Disconn ect t he fu el lin e at th e rear of the fuel
rail (Fig. 14).
