Torque from the tor que con verter is increased via
the input sh aft (25) a nd the center and rear plane-
tary gear set and tra nsferr ed to th e ou tput shaft (26).

Front Planetary Gear Set
The pla neta ry ca rrier (13) and sun gear (21) are
connect ed via the engaged m ultiple-disc clutch K1
(7). Th e pla neta ry gear set is therefor e blocked an d
turns a s a closed u nit at the in pu t speed due to the
mecha nica l connection of th e a nnulus gear (8) and
input sh aft.
Rear Planetary Gear Set
The annulus gear (11) tur ns at the input speed as
a result of t he mecha nica l conn ection to the front
planet ary carrier (13). Th e su n gear (23) is held
aga inst th e housing by t he engaged mu ltiple-disc
holding clu tch B2 (6), by the locked freewheel F2 (24)
du ring acceleration and by the engaged multiple-disc
clutch K3 (12) dur ing decelerat ion. The planet ary
pinion gea rs (19) t urn on t he fixed su n gear (23) and
increase the tor que fr om the ann ulus gear (11) to th e
planet ary car rier (15). The plan etar y car rier (15)
moves at a reduced speed in the r unning direction of
the engine.
Center Planetary Gear Set
The ann ulus gea r (10) is driven at the same speed
as the rear planetary car rier (15) as a r esult of a
mecha nica l connection. The su n g ear (22) is held
aga inst th e housing by the mult iple-disc holding
clutch B2 (6). The planet ary pinion gears (18) t urn
on t he fixed sun gea r (22) and in crease th e t orque
