LEFT DOOR
(1) In st all lock rods (2, 13) a nd install lock rod
guides (1, 16). (F ig. 7)
(2) Usin g locking plier s, hold u pper lock rod (2) in
place.
(3) In st all clips (15).
(4) In st all the lock rod actuator (10). Th e bolts
sh ould reach into th e holes (a rrows) of t he lock rods
(2, 13). Place and o-r ing (dia . 6 mm ) on each of th e
lock rod actu ator bolts t o prevent t he lock r ods fr om
chattering a gainst th e lock.
(5) In st all rea r door seal.
(6) In st all bottom closing wedge (21) an d replace
rivets (22).
(7) In st all closin g wedge (4).
(8) In st all door hinge (6). (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOORS - RE AR/HINGE - INSTALLATION)
(9) In st all door check (23). (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOORS - RE AR/CHECK - INSTALLATION)
(10) Install lock rod handle (11) and repla ce r oll
pin (12).
(11) Connect t he elect rica l conn ector an d in st all
switch es (17).
(12) Connect electr ical connectors and insta ll
license pla te lighting (18, 19).
(13) Install trim pa nel (20). (Refer t o 23 - BODY/
DOORS - RE AR/TRIM PANEL - INSTALLATION)
(14) Install door. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOORS -
REAR/DOOR - INST ALLATION)
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: If the door is being replaced a suitable
seam sealer must be used prior to painting.
(1) Su pport t he door with a suit able lift ing device,
insta ll door a nd insta ll the h inge bolts.
