TCM va lu e is a dju st ed to th e en ga ged gea r an d a cou n t er is incr ea sed by 2. If a ft er a sh ift
th e en gaged gear a nd t h e ca lcu la t ed gea r st ill ma tch , t h e cou n t er is decr ea sed by 1 poin t.
A DTC is det ect ed a s soon as t h e cou nt er exceeds a t h r esh old. If t h e fa ult is det ect ed 3
consecu tive ign it ion cycles t he t ra n sm ission will be pla ced in Lim p-in a n d th e MIL
act iva ted.

1 NOTE: Low fluid level can be the cause of many transmission problems. If
the fluid level is low locate and repair the leak then check and adjust the
flui d lev el p er t h e s e r vi c e i n fo r m a ti o n .
