1.2 Functional Description and Features
The DSX™ Automated ELISA System is designed to automate each of the steps in an ELISA
assay, including sampling, distribution, dilution, addition of reagents, incubation, washing,
detection and data processing. All operations are performed via an assay protocol established
by the application program; typically the analyst will be provided with appropriate assay
protocols from the supplier of the reagents. An assay protocol can be established so that all
samples on a given plate should use the same protocol (i.e. all wells are to be analyzed for the
same compound) or so that different assays are performed on various wells on the plate.
The DSX™ Automated ELISA System has a number of performance and convenience features,
