16.4 Replacing a Gas Damping Spring
Two Gas Damping Springs (Part No. 324600300) are used to support the door in the open
position. Mounting of a spring is shown in Figure 16-9.

To Remove a Gas Damping Spring:
1 Remove the appropriate side panel (see Re on
page 16-4 or Re on page 16-6).
2 Attach the Spring Compression Tool.
4 Slowly relieve the tension on the spring.
Note: The spring will expand when you remove it from the system.

3 Remove the M5 Lock nuts and washers that attach the spring to the mount and
the arm.
