1.4.4 Incubator Modules
Microplates are incubated and shaken in Incubator Modules (Figure 1-7). Up to four incubator
modules may be present in a system, so that different microplates can be incubated at
different temperatures. If desired, the microplate can be shaken during incubation. The
appropriate temperature and shake duration are specified during definition of an assay.
The particular incubator modules that are used during a work list and the temperature and
shaking of each incubator are automatically set by the system when the work list is created.
Processing of the work list will not commence until the temperature of each required
incubator module is at the correct value.
